I came to Liverpool with a communications career behind me and found a city that talks about itself constantly and documents itself badly. So I started asking people to sit down with me, and I have not stopped since.
I turn up, I ask properly, I come back a second time, and I only publish what the person would be glad to read. That is the whole method.
Liverpool is where the work begins. It is not where it ends.

A community I founded and have led since 2020, built around faith, reflection and personal growth. It is where I learned to hold a room, design something people return to, and keep communicating with the same group of people over years rather than weeks. The community work and the archive work come from the same instinct.
